EPFL Innovation Park welcomes miLab
Last May 4th, maxon motor inaugurated the maxon innovation Lab (miLab) in building F at EPFL Innovation Park, on the campus of EPFL.
maxon innovation Lab is a platform for hosting and exchange for high technologies, future markets and innovative business models for its employees, industrial and academic partners.
miLab provides ongoing exchanges with experts in new technologies and privileged access to the results of the latest developments. The Lab will be accessible to students and will offer them opportunities for Master projects. Olivier Chappuis, head of maxon innovation Lab, also studied at EPFL says: "I look forward to the many new business ideas and fruitful collaborations that await us in the EPFL ecosystem".
maxon motor has extensive expertise in engine design and mechatronics, including robotics, aerospace, medical technology, industrial automation and mobility. The training systems specialist, headquartered in Sachseln (OW), has already opened an Innovation Lab at the University of Applied Sciences Lucerne in 2017 and is making progress in expanding its international network with academies and the world of science and innovation.
