In 2025, our institution ranks for the third consecutive year among the top employers in Switzerland, holding the 1st place in the "Education and Research" category.

EPFL once again confirms its status as an employer of choice in Switzerland. In 2025, it ranks for the third consecutive year in the Top 20 of the general ranking of the best employers in Switzerland, established by Statista R, in collaboration with PME Magazine and Handelszeitung.

Even better, EPFL secures the first place in the "Education and Research" category. In the general ranking, it achieves the 17th place.

This ranking is based on a survey conducted among more than 15,000 employees, evaluating 17,000 Swiss companies and institutions with more than 200 employees.

The evaluation takes into account several key criteria, such as:

✔️ Working conditions and work-life balance
✔️ Quality of management and corporate culture
✔️ Opportunities for professional development
✔️ Commitment to sustainability and the institution's image

A constant commitment to its employees

This recognition highlights EPFL's commitment to providing a fulfilling, inclusive, and innovative work environment for its entire community.

The structure of our institution promotes constant dialogue, which is essential to ensure a healthy and stimulating work environment where everyone can thrive and fully contribute to our mission.

Marianne Wannier, Vice President for Human Development

> A dialogue rooted in the structure: EPFL's organization allows for continuous exchange with its stakeholders – associations, social partners, and community members – ensuring transparent and participatory governance. The community is regularly consulted on major decisions, ensuring active consideration of its needs and expectations.

> Listening and continuous improvement: Satisfaction surveys are regularly conducted by various services to adapt and improve internal services.

> Equal opportunities and diversity: EPFL is actively committed to an inclusive policy, ensuring equitable access to professional opportunities. It promotes an organizational culture based on trust, mutual respect, and diversity.

Recognition that stimulates a culture of excellence

This new distinction reinforces EPFL's determination to maintain standards of excellence in working conditions. True to its values, the institution places people at the heart of its priorities, constantly innovating to meet the expectations of its community and consolidate its status as a reference employer in Switzerland.

Since January 1, 2025, with the creation of a new Vice Presidency for Human Development, this theme is more than ever at the center of the new management's concerns.
