EPFL at the KFPE / SDC Research Fair

CODEV presented the EssentialTech program and the Info4Dourou project at the SDC/KFPE Research Fair that took place on 5th of June at the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development headquarters in Berne. The aim of the Research Fair was to present results and innovations from transnational research partnerships from around the world
The Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) and the Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries (KFPE) organised a Research Fair to provide an opportunity for exchange and dialogue between science, policy, and practice. Researchers from 15 Swiss institutions and their international partners showcased innovative findings, processes and products.
EssentialTech and Info4Dourou presented their activities in the cluster on technological innovation. In addition, Dr. Klaus Schönenberger program leader of EssentialTech participated at the panel on “Engaging the private sector for development – risks and opportunities” which was moderated by CODEV Deputy Director Dr. Silvia Hostettler.
The panel discussion allowed to deepen the exchange between researchers and practitioners in international cooperation and representatives from the private sector. Discussion focused on how public-private partnerships can be structured to take up innovation and foster the implementation of research results.
