The Enerdrape project, developed and nurtured at the laboratory of soil mechanics (LMS) of EPFL, secured the third position at the international ClimateLaunchpad 2019 Global Grand Final in Amsterdam.

Among 2600 candidate projects and 130 start-up presentations at the international final in Amsterdam, Enerdrape made it to the third position. Under the pressure of a 5 minutes pitch, Margaux Peltier defended her innovative project, developed a year ago at LMS under the supervision of Prof. Lyesse Laloui. Enerdrape’s geothermal panels recover the heat from existing underground environments in order to sustainably warm or cool buildings.

Champion of a two days boot camp with 9 other swiss start-ups, Enerdrape in the top place of the Swiss final, secured last September the leading ticket to represent Switzerland at the international final. On November 14th, Amsterdam hosted the semi-finals with 130 start-ups presentations, among which, Enerdrape was retained in the top 16 finalists for the Global Grand Final. On November 15th, Margaux Peltier opened the show with her presentation of Enerdrape, and finally won the third position in addition to being the only European project on the podium. Enerdrape also won a place for the Accelerator EIT-Climate Kick.
