On May 3rd, 2024, 2nd-year bachelor students from ENAC, EPFL succesfully completed their ENAC week with the Structural Xploration Lab. This year in challenge was to source reusable materials and design and build ceiling and floor layers for the FLO:RE system, a fully-fonctional set of reclaimed concrete slabs and steel beams for building structures. The students benefited from the support of the Atelier PopUp (Smart Living Lab, Fribourg) technicians as well as invited guests specialized in building acoustics and fire safety. The ENAC week is a program aiming at bringing architecture, civil and environmental engineering students together around multidisciplinary challenges.
