EISAP online workshop, an open-source program for impedance analysis

On 29 July 2026, nearly one hundred participants joined the online workshop on EISAP, hosted by Dr. Hangyu Yu from Group of Energy Materials. The complete analysis workflow was demonstrated on example degradation data, followed by a question round on practical issues. The recording has been published in six parts on YouTube.
EISAP, developed at EPFL together with Hydro-Québec and Bern University of Applied Sciences, brings the full impedance analysis chain into a single graphical application: import from BioLogic, Gamry, Zahner and generic text files, quality screening by Kramers-Kronig test and Z-HIT reconstruction, deconvolution into a distribution of relaxation times (DRT), and equivalent-circuit fitting by complex non-linear least squares. The software is written in Python, released under the MIT license, and has been applied in multiple published studies.
