EESD member Dr. Savvas Saloustros participates in the post-earthquake evaluation of buildings in Crete, Greece

Two earthquakes on the 26th and 28th of September of magnitude 5.8 ML and 5.3 ML, respectively, produced significant damage in buildings over a large area of the central Crete (Greece). EESD member Dr. Savvas Saloustros participated in the first phase of the rapid evaluation of buildings the week following the earthquake. The earthquake resulted in 1 casualty and the dislocation of many people from their houses, works and schools.
