E3 – EPFL Excellence in Engineering Program
Following a rigorous selection process, 35 outstanding students from over 2000 international applicants have been invited to spend three months this summer working in research laboratories and interacting with faculty members and Ph.D. students at EPFL’s School of Engineering.
The E3 - EPFL Excellence in Engineering Program offers an intensive research training opportunity to students interested in a research career in any field of engineering, science or technology.
The students selected for the program have been matched with an EPFL lab based on their interest and background and then assigned to a research group. As part of this three-month summer fellowship, they will also attend a series of group meetings and workshops run by researchers from EPFL. In addition, the E3 workshop organized at the end of the summer will give the students the opportunity to present the results of their summer research project.
Intially, more than 2,000 students applied for the program beginning of February. The laboratories involved in the selection process were very impressed with the high quality of the applications.
