Dr Yuki Oyama wins the Best Dissertation Prize
Dr Yuki Oyama, postdoc at the Transport and Mobility Laboratory, wins the Kometani-Sasaki Prize for his PhD thesis.
The Kometani-Sasaki Fund, established by the Institute of Systems Science Research, Japan, to honor the achievements of Prof. Eiji Kometani and Prof. Tsuna Sasaki, has provided the Kometani-Sasaki Prize together with encouragement of 1,000,000 JPY for the excellent works in the field of traffic engineering and transportation planning research, since 2005. The selection of the 13th Kometani-Sasaki Prize (Dissertation) considered PhD studies that have been completed between September 2014 and August 2017.
Yuki Oyama, postdoc at the Transport and Mobility Laboratory, ENAC, has received the prize for his PhD thesis entitled "A Markovian route choice analysis for trajectory-based urban planning". The study aimed to develop an integrated framework of route choice analysis based on Markovian route choice models and was conducted in the Behavior in Networks Studies Unit, Department of Urban Engineering, The University of Tokyo.
As the winner, he had a speech and a presentation at the party held in Kyoto, Japan on 01.12.2017.
