Dr. Orion Penner has been awarded a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Ambizione grant for his project entitled "Untangling Researcher Mobility, Productivity, and Knowledge Fit".

The project will focus on generating a large database of researcher careers from bibliographic databases through cutting-edge machine learning techniques, and in turn, produce insight on the impact of mobility on researcher careers. Portions of the project will be carried out in collaboration with researchers at the University of Mannheim and the University of Torino.

One of the SNSF's most selective competitions, Ambizione grants are aimed at young researchers who wish to conduct, manage and lead an independent project at a Swiss higher education institution. The project will run until June 2020 with total funding of CHF 520,000.
