EPFL sends a water analysis lab on a race around the world on board Bernard Stamm’s boat, the “Cheminées-Poujoulat.” Starting on November 10, she will be competing in the Vendée Globe 2012.

Can a sailing boat designed for the roughest seas be used for scientific research? The ship’s architect, Betrand Cardis, and her skipper, Bernard Stamm, will be joined by the engineer who set up the mini-lab on board, Cédric Droguet, to debate the question. Join us at the Café Klee in the Rolex Learning Center for a public talk (in French) on Tuesday September 25 at 12:15pm, or follow the meeting live on this page.

PS: This edition of Science! on tourne will take place on Tuesday, in anticipation of the press conference held by the Vendée Globe 2012 in Paris the following day.
