Discontinuation of negotiations with Wiley: No deal situation

The negotiations between swissuniversities and the publisher Wiley, which have been ongoing since early 2024, have not concluded in an acceptable Read & Publish agreement that could satisfy all conditions while meeting swissuniversities' requirements (prices, contractual terms). This no deal has several implications for members of EPFL community.
Impact and mitigation measures
In anticipation of an impending access cut to the articles published after January 1st, 2025, we invite EPFL researchers to check alternative measures (interlibrary loan; pay per view) in place through EPFL Library to access publications which are no longer available through Wiley. Note that continuing access is guaranteed for articles published until the end of 2024.
The benefits of the former agreement no longer apply: as a result, open access fees (APC) for articles in Wiley journals are not financially supported by EPFL.
