Digital education for cooperation and development

On 1st May 2017, the MOOCs Africa Programme became part of EPFL’s Cooperation and Development Center (CODEV). MOOCS Africa will thus benefit from the expertise and know-how of a Center that possesses extensive experience in cooperation and development with emerging countries, while contributing its own competences in the development of digital education.
A logical move !
Driven by excellence, CODEV endeavours to build strategic partnerships with major stakeholders in the Global South. CODEV supports high level academic institutions and scientific cooperation projects in research and education. It creates and promotes innovative technologies that aim to reduce poverty and to contribute to sustainable development. CODEV offers EPFL students Bachelor and Master level courses in « Cooperation and Development in Emerging Countries » and in « Development Engineering », as well as tailored, specialised MOOCS that address issues specific to countries of the Global South. In MOOCS Africa, CODEV has gained a key actor in North – South cooperation who strives to strengthen higher education and to develop further education in Africa.
We believe that valuable synergies and opportunities will arise from this new collaboration.
