This report offers an overview of the current state of the DeFi market, analyses some of the cybersecurity and financial challenges, and discusses a few solution avenues. It is based on the event Finance and Technology Conference 2023 “How to Build Trust in Decentralized Finance?” held on 26 April 2023, organized jointly by the Finance and Technology Programme at EPFL and C4DT, with the participation of world experts of the technology, finance, legal and regulation aspects of crypto finance.
