Darren Robinson appointed professor at University of Nottingham
Dr Darren Robinson, Senior Scientist and Group leader at the Solar Energy and Building Physics Laboratory, has been appointed Full Professor in Building and Urban Physics at the University of Nottingham, UK, from October 1st, 2011.
Since he joined the LESO-BP in 2004, Darren Robinson has largely contributed to the international reputation of the lab in the domain of Urban Physics. The group "Sustainable Urban Development" set up by him has received several distinctions, among which the 'Building and Environment' Best Paper Awards 2009 & 2010 and the CIBSE Napier-Shaw Bronze Medal. Darren thus joins the number of scientists from LESO-PB who have been nominated for a professorship at an Anglo-Saxon university, among whom la Dr Marilyne Andersen, appointed as a Professor at MIT in 2004 after obtaining her doctoral degree at LESO-PB, and who rejoined the EPFL as an Associated Professor in 2010.
