Crypto-assets and tokenization conference 2021
This year’s Finance and Technology Conference was held for the first time in a hybrid format due to the sanitary situation. For its 12th edition, 50 guests gathered on-site at the SwissTech Convention Center, while hundreds other participants watched the conference online, to discuss crypto-assets and tokenization.
Organized jointly by the Finance and Technology Programme and the Center for Digital Trust, this year’s Finance and Technology Conference gathered leading experts in crypto-assets and asset tokenization to discuss current trends of such technologies and their impact on banking and financial market infrastructures.
Indeed, stating that Distributed Ledger Technology and Decentralized Finance (known as DeFi) has the potential to reshape the traditional financial system is undoubtedly an understatement. During the day-long conference, many different aspects of crypto and tokenization were covered: the legal and regulatory issues; technological, financial and economic impacts; as well as civil society perspectives.
