7 civil engineering master graduates at the soil mechanics laboratory (LMS).

The soil mechanics laboratory (LMS) congratulates Fikret Can Yilmaz (Entreprise Risk Management & Civil Engineering Consulting Firms in Switzerland), Michela Lagioia (Thermal efficiency of energy piles: validation of a new finite element for non-isothermal pipe-flow simulations), Michela Casanova (Essais triaxiaux cycliques thermo-mécaniques (en échange au MIT)), Mohamed Nadeem (Analyse et gestion des risques dans la planification d’un projet de Génie Civil - Approche par BIM 5D), Qazim Llabjani (Soil-structure interaction of energy walls based on spring models), Simon Caldi (Nouveau port de plaisance à Yverdon-les-Bains) and Yannick Fessler (Tunnel en terrain meuble – métro m3 de Lausanne entre le Flon et la Blécherette) on the successful defense of their master theses in the LMS. Fikret Can Yilmaz, Michela Casanova, Mohamed Nadeem, Qazim Llabjani, Simon Caldi and Yannick Fessler received their diploma in civil engineering during the 2019 EPFL Graduation Day, while Michela Lagioia graduated at the University of Grenoble following the completion of her exchange in the LMS. Qazim Llabjani has obtained the BG prize during the ceremony.

The LMS also congratulates Antoine Guggisberg (Projet immobilier en terrain instable), Armand Monneron (Projet immobilier en terrain instable), Babak Haftgoli Bakhtiari (Risk Management in Construction Business), Enea Sala (Parking souterrain à Yverdon-les-Bains), Gabriele Falconi (Parking souterrain à Yverdon-les-Bains), Gaëtan Gindrat (Limit state design of Energy Walls: understanding the role of thermal loads), Kamil Blaszczuk (Risques en gestion de projets), Lisa Cassina (Projet Espace Tourbillon - Genève), Maxime Gillet (Dimensionnement des soutènements par intelligence artificielle), Mohamad Zaarour (Stress preconditioning for hydraulic fracturing), Mohamed-Nabil Jaffal (Risques en gestion de projets), Salma Lemghari (Gestion des risques en entreprise), Stéphane Hartmann (Investigation of the ground in-situ temperature profile with regards to ambient temperature changes), Sylvain Freiburghaus (Gestion des risques en entreprise), Youssouf Lebbar (Fondations du bâtiment Vortex, Lausanne and Zineb Fouad (Projet Espace Tourbillon - Genève) for having accomplished their semester project in the LMS, Gaëtan Gindra (Risk analysis in natural hazards), Héloise Fuselier (Experimental study on density of shales for engineering applications), Katinka Meier (Geotechnical analysis in the area of Istanbul), Matthias Wojnarowicz (Thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior of energy tunnels), Mohamed Nadeem (Analyse et gestion des risques dans la planification d’un projet de Génie Civil) and Stéphane Hartmann (City-scale application of energy geostructureset) for having accomplished a pre-study of a master project in the LMS as well as Claudine Karlen & Mischa Weber (Feasibility study of the integration of a medium deep geothermal system in a district heating) for accomplishing their SIE Project in the LMS.

All the best to all graduates!
