Congratulations to Shenghan Zhang

Congratulations to Shenghan Zhang, a former PhD student of the EESD laboratory, who was recently appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HKUST (https://www.ce.ust.hk/people/shenghan-zhang-zhangshenghan ). At EPFL, Shenghan developed new advanced numerical models for the simulation of stone masonry. For his post-doctoral studies at UC Berkeley, Shenghan won a SNSF Early PostDoc.Mobility Grants and worked with Prof. Matthew DeJong and Prof. Kenichi Soga on fibre optic sensing technologies in structural engineering, both for on-site monitoring and laboratory measurements. We wish Shenghan all the best for his new position and look forward to continuing collaborating with him.
