We are very pleased to share that the Review Article of Alessandra Spada entitled "Surface Functionalization of Nanocarriers with Anti-EGFR Ligands for Cancer Active Targeting" is among the Highly Cited Papers 2025 in Nanomaterials.

This review presents the recent development of drug nanocarriers targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), which stands as one of the most frequently overexpressed receptors in different cancer types. Conjugation strategies for nanoparticle functionalization with anti-EGFR biomolecules and small molecular ligands are explored. The review also describes some of the most common characterization techniques to confirm and analyze the conjugation patterns.
