Collaborative Journal Paper Accepted to Building & Environment
A collaborative journal paper titled, ‘A human-centric approach to assess daylight in buildings for non-visual health potential, visual interest and gaze behavior’ was accepted to the daylighting special edition of Building & Environment.
This paper introduces an exciting new approach to predict human health, visual interest, and gaze behavior using an immersive human-centric simulation method from a fixed position in space. The paper outlines a method to integrate novel mathematical models, developed through the PhD work of Maria, Siobhan, and Mandana, into a workflow for simulating performance across a range of view directions, sky conditions, and time series.
