Coffee-discussion with Prof. Esther Duflo, June 23rd 2014
A privileged meeting with the famous economist, recently awarded with the Erna Hamburger Prize
Last June 23rd the Equal Opportunities Office of EPFL had the special privilege to coordinate a coffee-discussion with Prof. Esther Duflo, one of the most influencing economists of her generation, recently awarded the Erna Hamburger prize for science and humanities.
Known for her studies and understandings on microeconomic issues of developing countries and recently appointed to global development council by President Barack Obama, Prof. Duflo shared with us her challenges and feelings experienced during her excellent career in three of the most renowned academic institutes, the MIT, the Ecole Normale Supérieure and Princeton.
A rewarding experience that we were happy to share with almost twenty young female scientists of EPFL.
