Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Award for Johannes Gräff

Together with David Dupret from the University of Oxford, Johannes has secured a prestigious interdisciplinary grant to study the molecules of mind, namely to unravel how learning-induced transient neuronal activity is translated into a cell assembly’s lasting epigenetic code to store acquired memories.
This grant is part of the Neurodegeneration Challenge Network (NDCN) Projects.
CZI’s Neurodegeneration Challenge Network brings together experimental scientists from diverse research fields, along with computational biologists and physicians, to accelerate fundamental neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease research that leads to an in-depth understanding of healthy brain function and the development of new strategies for treatment and prevention of neurodegenerative disorders.
