Caroline Kuyper, Associate Vice President for Participations

After four years in the position and a successful journey, Caroline Kuyper will leave her position as EPFL Vice President and CFO at the end of the year. She will become the new Associate Vice-President for Participations as of January 2021 and will report directly to the president.

Caroline Kuyper is a finance professional. She holds a Master’s degree in Business and Economics from HEC Lausanne and a PED from IMD. For the past 4 years she has been the Vice-President Finances and CFO of EPFL where she has successfully transformed the finance function into performing services, enhancing financial strategy, reporting & planning, and enabling EPFL to project itself into the future with confidence. She has been instrumental in promoting solid governance and compliance, providing new support and services to all parts of the school as well as to its cantonal and subsidiary activities.

Caroline Kuyper previously worked for large multinationals such as the International Olympic Committee, Nestlé and Philip Morris in the fields of finance, business development and audit, with a specialization in reorganization, risk and change management. She also has years of experience in the Swiss public sector and holds responsibilities on boards of directors in Switzerland.

As from January 2021, in her new role as Associate Vice President for Participations, she will represent EPFL on the boards of the School’s directors of strategic partners, and she will report directly to the president.
