Carolina Osorio wins the EURO Doctoral Dissertation Award

Carolina Osorio, who graduated from the lab in April 2010, wins the EURO Doctoral Dissertation Award
Carolina Osorio received the Doctoral Dissertation Award from EURO, the European Association of Operational Research Societies during the annual meeting that took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, July 8-11, 2012 for her PhD thesis entitled "Mitigating network congestion : analytical models, optimization methods and their applications" in the Transport and Mobility Laboratory under the supervision of Michel Bierlaire. She graduated on April 2010, and is now an assistant professor at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at MIT. The purpose of the prize is to distinguish an outstanding PhD thesis in Operational Research defended in the countries having an OR society that is member of the EURO.
