Call for applications - PhD prize in Quantitative Research

In collaboration with the EPFL SIAM Student Chapter, G-Research is organizing a PhD prize of up to € 5,000 that will be awarded to doctoral candidates attending their final or penultimate year at EPFL.
The applicants should preferably work on one of the following topics: Machine Learning, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering. However, any application coming from other subjects will be considered.
How to apply
Submit an excerpt of your draft dissertation (max 10 pages), along with a CV and a covering letter to [email protected].
Your cover letter should summarise your PhD/research field, how your research is novel and has an impact in its field, as well as it should outline notable contributions to other papers.
Please submit all entries in English.

Please note that doctoral candidates must have the permission of their thesis director(s) to apply for the prize in order to be able to share thesis data with a private company!
