Brigitte Jolles (MT'90)



Brigitte Jolles-Haeberli has built an impressive academic and professional career. She studied microtechnology engineering at the EPFL in 1990, and by 1995 she had earned her federal diploma and doctor of medicine degree from the University of Lausanne. She continued her training in hospitals in Vaud and Geneva, as well as at St. Michel Hospital and the University of Toronto in Canada. In 2002 she was awarded her federal diploma as a Swiss Medical Association specialist in orthopedic surgery and traumatology. Her academic advancement at the University of Lausanne included the titles of tenured senior lecturer and research group leader in 2003 and privat-docent in 2006. Since 2008, Brigitte Jolles-Haeberli is also Professor at Interinstitutional Center of Translational Biomechanics at EPFL and since 2010, Professor at Faculty of Biology and Medicine of Université de Lausanne.
