Bilal Farooq appointed Professor at École Polytechnique Montréal

Bilal Farooq who is currently a post doctoral Research Scientist at Transport and Mobility Laboratory has been appointed tenure-track Assistant Professor in Transportation at the Department of Civil, Geotechnical, and Mining Engineering, École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada.

Bilal received his Ph.D. degree from University of Toronto in December 2010. His Ph.D. thesis titled, "Urban Built Space Evolution: Markets and Decisions" was supervised by Professor Eric J. Miller. Since January 2011 he has been associated with Transportation and Mobility Laboratory, managing various Swiss and European research projects in the area of urban systems and pedestrian dynamics. He will start the new position from August 2013.
