BFH PV LAB is now an accredited “PV Inverter Test Laboratory”
On 19 September 2017, the Photovoltaic Laboratory (PV LAB) in Burgdorf at Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH was accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) as an official PV inverter test laboratory. The accreditation comprises the efficiency measurement of PV inverters according the EN50530/ IEC 50530 and the EMC tests EN 61000-3-2/ IEC 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-12 and IEC 61000-3-12. Electric magnetic waves according to CISPR 11, EN 55011 can also be measured.

Test protocol for PV battery systems (Effizienzleitfaden) now published!
The BFH PV LAB participated in an international working group of 30 industry and research partners, coordinated by Technische Hochschule Berlin HTW, to develop a test protocol for PV battery systems (Effizienzleitfaden) that is now published. Measuring according to this test protocol (Effizienzleitfaden) offers a clear picture of all the static and dynamic energy paths within battery systems and is a contribution to WP4 in SCCER-Furies.

Automatic measurement system of PV battery systems
In the context of SCCER-FURIES, an automatic test system was developed in the accredited PV inverter test lab of BFH PV LAB in Burgdorf (see above), to allow a 24 hours / 7 days test procedure aiming to meet all test requirement of the “Effizienzleitfaden” (see above). The test site is now open for research and industry partners.

High voltage test site is ready for industry collaboration
The high voltage test lab at the BFH PV LAB in Burgdorf allows high voltage tests up to 1 MV. Additional test possibilities are available for voltages in the kV-range. The high voltage test lab is also open to Swiss industry partners for sample tests of high voltage components.
