Best PhD paper award at ECC23

Baiwei Guo, co-supervised by Prof. Giancarlo Ferrari-Trecate (DECODE group) and Prof. Maryam Kamgarpour (SYCAMORE group), a member of the DECODE group, received the Best PhD paper award at the 21st European Control Conference for the paper "Safe Zeroth-Order Convex Optimization Using Quadratic Local Approximation". This research work is the result of a collaborative effort between multiple research groups within Laboratoire d'Automatique. The co-authors include also Yuning Jiang (Predictive Control Lab), Prof. Maryam Kamgarpour (SYCAMORE group) and Prof. Giancarlo Ferrari-Trecate (DECODE group).
