ABBA in the brain?

Led by former postdoc Bianca Silva and together with EPFL BIOP facility, the widely used brain alignment tool ABBA has just been published.
ABBA (Aligning Big Brain and Atlases) is a set of software components which allows to register images of thin serial biological tissue sections, cut in any orientation to publicly available atlases. Developed by EPFL’s BioImaging & Optics Core Facility, former postdoc Bianca Silva with her team and Johannes Gräff have now published the utility of ABBA for the brain-wide visualisation of immediate early genes, heavily used in memory research these days, in Cell Reports.
