AAF Enhances Lignin Valorization in Endocarp Waste Biomass
Our paper demonstrating the versatility of aldehyde-assisted fraction for the valorisation of endocarp biomass lignin was published in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. Behaghel de Bueren et al. highlighted the great potential of this under-valorized feedstock for the production of renewable aromatic monomers with yield up to 30% higher than those obtained with wood due to their high lignin content. Interestingly, the unique porosity of this material was demonstrated to be a key parameter influencing the efficiency of lignin valorisation processes.
