In November 2018, the Lausanne Cathedral will host four representations of Opera Nabucco . In this regard, IBOIS laboratory has recently developed a new timber scenography and stage design.

For this special occasion, IBOIS is going to reveal a technological transfer of the “snap-fit joints”, a wood-wood connection, presented at Acadia Design Agency, L.A. in 2014. Specifically, the scenography includes bleachers and benches for spectators. Those particulars benches are all in wood panels, assembled together thanks to a combination of snap-fit joints and mortise-and-tenon joints. This technological transfert is a world firstimplementation of those wood connections, and the mid-term potentials for such innovation are huge, like using snap-fit joints and wood-wood connections in the construction field !

To find out more about the project, please visit our website , and come see us at the IBOIS stand at Scientastic on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th November.

Performances are on the 17th, 18th, 20thand 21stof November, save the dates ! We hope that this project has piqued your interest and we look forward to seeing you there,
ADDITIONNAL PERFORMANCE on the 23rd of November !
