A new project on urban SURFACE co-design has just started!
CHANGE was awarded an ENAC Fribourg Grant to develop a co-design toolkit and methodology for the adaptation of Fribourg’s cantonal roads into multimodal passage-paysages.
How can co-design tools and methodologies help optimize nature-based solutions (NBSs) potential to create systemic, interdisciplinary, inclusive, diverse, and adaptive urban solutions?
The SURFACE (Co-designing the urban surface as socio-ecological interface in the adaptation of Fribourg’s cantonal roads into multimodal passage-paysages) project will provide the framework and testing ground for the development of an innovative set of co-design protocols for NBSs aiming to integrate the knowledge and needs of a large diversity of human and more-than-human stakeholders in the urban design process.
SURFACE started on Sept. 1st and is a joint effort between CHANGE and ALICE, in collaboration with public authorities in Fribourg.
