Three students had the opportunity to meet Claude Nicollier after they won a competition organized by the Swiss Space Center at the TecDay in Zofingen in February.

Three lucky students visited EPFL and had lunch with astronaut Claude Nicollier on Wednesday April 2nd. This was the prize they won on the occasion of the TecDay, organized at the Cantonal School in Zofingen, in the district of Argovie, on February 25th. They also visited the Laboratory of intelligent systems, which creates various robots, and the Center for research in plasma physics (CRPP).

To win this reward, the students managed particularly well to pilote quadricopters and catch a half scaled foam model of the SwissCube. This activity was proposed by the Swiss Space Center at the TecDay in order to sensibilize the youngsters to the issue of space debris and give them a taste of the challenge that represents catching a non-cooperative object.

Coming TecDays where the Swiss Space Center is going to lead a module: 10th of October, Gymnase de Beaulieu, Lausanne and 14th of November, Liceo Locarno, Locarno.
