A comprehensive Reference Collection to succeed in your studies

To help you to succeed in your studies, the Library offers you a comprehensive Reference Collection, called "Collection d'Enseignement" (Teaching Collection). Books recommended by EPFL teachers are available in multiple copies, and online when possible. The "Collection d'Enseignement" is located at the Library entrance, next to the helpdesk.
This Collection d'Enseignement (Teaching Collection) comprises all the publications in relation to the courses held at EPFL (Bachelor and Master’s level) and for the most part recommended by the teachers as back-up to their courses. Several copies of them are available in the Library and they are indicated in the IS-Academia course index cards.
The "Collection d'Enseignement" gathers 11’500 items, for 3’600 different titles : several copies are available, which one dedicated to on-site consultation. Other copies can be borrowed on short-term loan (14 days).
Some titles of the teaching collection are also available online, throught BEAST catalogue.
The EPFL handouts, back-up to courses designed by teachers, are also available in the "Collection d'enseignement".
Two copies of the current edition (one for consultation, one borrowable) are held in the Enseignement (Teaching) area behind the reception desk.
The complete collection of previous editions (3'700 titles) is held in the basement area C4: they can be borrowed.
