5th EPFL Space Research Day.
20 May 2011 : 50 years of human presence in Space: Mars next?
On the year of the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin first flight to space, the Space Center will organize a conference to present history and experiences of manned exploration program and discuss its future. We will also discuss public interest in Mars exploration and role of governments and private enterprise in space exploration. Our speakers will include Prof. Claude Nicollier (EPFL), Dr. Olivier Botta (Swiss Space Office), Prof. Suren Erkman (UNIL).
The event is organized with the support of the Mars Society Switzerland and Consulate General of Russia in Geneva.
