5 EPFL Engineering Professors recognized as Highly Cited Researchers
Christophe Ballif, Tobias Kippenberg, Andras Kis, Nicola Marzari and Ali H. Sayed, from the EPFL School of Engineering, are recognized as "Highly Cited Researchers" for 2018.
The list, created by Clarivate Analytics, recognizes world-class researchers selected for their exceptional research performance, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science.
The professors are: Christophe Ballif, from the Photovoltaics and Thin Film Electronics Laboratory (in the Cross-Field category); Tobias J. Kippenberg, from the Laboratory of Photonics and Quantum Measurements (STI/SB, in the Physics category); Andras Kis, from the Nanoscale Electronics and Structures Laboratory (in the Cross-Field category); Nicola Marzari, from the Theory and Simulation of Materials Laboratory (MARVEL, in the Cross-Field category); and Ali H. Sayed, from the Adaptive Systems Laboratory and dean of the School of Engineering (in the Engineering category).
