3rd call for applications for ‘EPFL Fellows' postdoctoral fellowships
The third call for the EPFL Fellows postdoctoral fellowship programme was launched, 1 July 2015, with a deadline of 1 October 2015 (17:00 hr. CET).
EPFL Fellows is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND project (under Horizon 2020). The programme aims to attract talented postdoctoral researchers from all over the world to the EPFL and to provide them with excellent conditions for research at our School, to develop their leadership potential and to position them for future success as research leaders.
These fellowships, 24 for this call (compared to 12 in 2014) may be held in any scientific discipline within the EPFL and run for a period of 24 months. Applications have to be made in close collaboration with a Principal Investigator, the Fellow’s host professor. The applicants should arrange in advance a research plan with their Principal Investigator.
With regard to the funding scheme, the ‘EPFL Fellows’ fellowship will consist of a monthly contribution of 2’625 Euro to the salary of the postdoc at EPFL. The remaining part of the salary needs to be provided by the hosting Professor.
The selection process is based on an international peer review process. The proposals are reviewed by international experts who evaluate and score the proposals according to the evaluation criteria for the programme. The EPFL Research Commission makes the final decision on the attribution of the fellowships, while taking into account the results of the international evaluation process.
