2nd Call - International PhD/postdoc exchange for women researchers
Through the initiative "International PhD/postdoc exchange for women researchers", the Swiss NCCR in Robotics offers financial support to women PhD students and Postdocs who plan to do an exchange of 3 months up to 6 months.
- Eligible applicants are:
- Women PhD students or postdocs from any NCCR affiliated laboratory who would like to go abroad. Note the candidate does not need to be funded by NCCR, unlike the first call. We will favor projects with one of our partner institutions, see list below.
- Women PhD students or postdocs of one of our partner institutions who would like to work on an NCCR project in a NCCR laboratory. See list of NCCR professors.
- The scholarship covers one return trip and living expenses up to 10’000 CHF (Swiss Francs).
- Applications should contain the following:
1. A PDF document containing a brief description (maximum 1 page including references, font size 12) of the project.
2. A complete CV of the candidate, with a list of publications
3. A budget. The budget should identify the extra costs compared to what you would normally spend if you were to do your PhD/Postdoc at your home institution; for example travel to the host institution, accommodation at host location, etc.
4. A short motivation letter explaining how this visit will contribute to the work done within the NCCR
5. One letter of recommendation
6. Written confirmation from the host institution and from your PhD/postdoc advisor.
All items should be submitted in English. Applications should be sent by email to scholarship-nccr-robotics@groupes.epfl.ch with the title “PhD/postdoc exchange application”.
- The submission deadline is December 15, 2013. Notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent out to candidates by January 15th . We reserve the rights to accept or reject any application. Please check our website regularly for new grant applications and grant application updates.
