10 MOOCs already on the ACL platform

Less than a year after the announcement of the 13 MOOCs selected to expand the range of training courses in the field of urban and sustainable development in Africa, 10 of them are already available on the ACL platform.

The range of MOOCs on offer covers a wide range of subjects, including digitisation and data management, housing, climate and sanitation, finance, planning and eco-materials, and offers high-quality courses and online continuing education for students and professionals.

The MOOCs currently available on the platform:

  • Le solaire photovoltaïque et ses applications au profit du développement urbain (french)
  • Articulation Urbanisme – Mobilité pour une ville soutenable (french)
  • Introduction to New Sanitation Systems, Economies & Markets (english)
  • African Urban Economic Development in the Context of Climate Change (english)
  • La fabrique urbaine collective: idées et outils pour co-produire les villes africaines (french)
  • Making housing markets work in African cities: understanding the role and opportunity of finance (english)
  • La gestion des données urbaines: clé du développement de villes africaines plus intelligentes (french)
  • Digital Governance for inclusive and sustainable African cities (english)

The platform brings together leading universities in the English and French-speaking regions to create a network of institutions in the field of digital education and to have an impact on the continent as a whole.

The initiative, supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), is led by six leading African universities to train, on a large scale, current and future generations of professionals involved in urban and sustainable development in Africa.
