Dear all,

it is great pleasure that we are forwarding to you the first EPFL Space Newsletter.  We will regularly be publishing some news regarding space projects that are ongoing at EPFL.

The big news of this month is the transmission of the first Mars image taken with the CaSSIS camera on board the ESA Trace Gas Orbiter satellite.  PhD student Stepan Tulyakov, supervised by Anton Ivanov (eSpace) and François Fleuret (IDIAP), is working on adaptive algorithms to reconstruct the 3d Mars topology using the CaSSIS stero images.

Best regards,

Simon and the eSpace team.
