Are you a PhD student or a Postdoctoral researcher at EPFL, UNIL or HES?

Does your work fall under any of the following disciplines: mathematics, chemistry, physics, zoology, botany, earth sciences, methodology and history of sciences?

Is your research basic or applied? Is it new (no ongoing projects/thesis)?

Then, apply to the Bourse du 200ème, a 1-year CHF 30’000 grant offered by the Society of Natural Sciences of the Canton of Vaud (SVSN) to celebrate its 200th anniversary, in collaboration with the Vaud Academic Society (SAV).

Since 1819, SVSN supports the study, as well as the advancement and diffusion of the natural sciences, exact sciences and other related sciences.

The Bourse du 200ème (CHF 30’000 for 12 months, starting January 2020) will offer an allowance, cover materials and consumables, travel expenses, fieldwork and analysis work. The grant does NOT cover personnel, conference costs and overheads. Applications can be submitted by both individuals or by groups of young researchers.

An external jury will review the applications and only one grant will be awarded in November 2019.

The grantee will be asked to submit scientific and financial reports, attend the anniversary ceremony in November 2019 and publish an article in the SVSN bulletin.
