Tri Kurniawan Wijaya receives the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Award

Tri Kurniawan Wijaya has received an IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Award. This award is highly competitive and recognizes the student as well as the quality of the School of Computer and Communication Sciences.





The IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Awards Program is an intensely competitive worldwide program, which honors exceptional Ph.D. students who have an interest in solving problems that are important to IBM and fundamental to innovation in many academic disciplines and areas of study such as computer science and engineering, including cyber security and cloud computing.

Tri Kurniawan Wijaya is currently a PhD student at the School of Computer and Communication Sciences EPFL under the supervision of Prof. Karl Aberer. Currently working on Wattalyst project, he received the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Award for his outstanding research on smart energy, particularly in energy consumption behavior analysis and mechanism design for demand-side management in the smart grid.
