Congratulations to Céline and Laura for their paper in Polymers.
This article describes the fast and highly reproducible production of chitosan preparations, suitable for downstream functionalization and biological evaluation. Microwave-assisted acidic hydrolysis of the polysaccharide backbone led to water-soluble batches of chitosan, presenting low polydispersity index.
