The SXL at IASS 2016 in Tokyo

The Structural Xploration Lab is actively taking part in the 2016 Conference of the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures, held this year in Tokyo, Japan. The lab is co-authoring three papers with researchers from the Chair of Structural Design at ETH Zürich and from the Structures & Technologies Chair at UCL, Belgium. They address the construction of 3D reciprocal diagrams in CAD software, a novel challenge that requires innovation and a deep understanding of past knowledge. Corentin Fivet will also co-chair the session on graphic statics this Thursday.
