We are happy to announce that the 11th edition of the Summer Research
Institute of I&C (SuRI),

starts this Tuesday, 7 June 2011, with a keynote "Machines Reasoning
about Machines" by

Professor J Strother Moore,

the Admiral B.R. Inman Centennial Chair in Computing Theory at the
University of Texas at Austin, a member of the National Academy of
Engineering, a winner of the ACM System Award, the McCarthy Prize,
the Herbrand Award, and the AMS Current Prize in Automatic Theorem
Proving.

A second keynote, "Applied Logic", takes place on Monday June 20th,
by

Professor C.A.R. Hoare,

the recipient of: the ACM Turing Award, the Kyoto Prize, the IEEE
John von Neumann Medal, a Knighthood from the Queen for his services
to Computing Science; a Fellow of the Royal Society, and a member
of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

SuRI extends from Tuesday June 7th till Friday June 24th and covers
approximately 40 talks in key areas of computer science and
communications.

Two special events take place as part of SuRI this year:

1) June 14th -- the MICS Summer School on Social Networks and Community
Sensing,

2) June 20-22 -- a seminar on Models and Tools for Reliable Systems

You might also wish to check out the first Summer Research Institute
organized by EE, which takes place from June 13th till June 24.
