Structural glass beam tests

Bending tests on reinforced glass beams at the ICOM laboratory.
The ICOM Steel Structures Laboratory is currently testing glass beams for architectural and structural applications. Special feature of these beams is that they contain a small reinforcement section at the tensile edge which provides redundancy and structural safety. The tests are executed in the laboratory (GC G0 555), during the first weeks of May. For more information please contact Dr. Christian Louter.
