The symposium marked the centennial anniversary of the Freidorf's construction

On the 26th of September the FHNW (Muttenz, Basel) celebrated the centennial anniversary of the construction of Freidorf, the first and only cooperative settlement of the Swiss cooperative movement. It was planned and built by Hannes Meyer in collaboration with the leaders of the social, economic, and land reform, as well as with the future inhabitants - which he would join until 1926.

At the symposium that marked the occasion, 'Freidorf, Hannes Meyer and the settlement', Stéphanie Savio talked about the genealogy of the economic model of the cooperative settlement as well as about the historical reflexions by their architects.
