SNSF Project Funding: October 2025 grant recipients announced

Out of 323 granted SNSF Project Funding research projects, EPFL has been listed as the responsible institution in 18 granted proposals. Additionally, EPFL researchers are participating as other applicants in 7 projects and as project partners in 8 others.

The SNSF awarded CHF 14’524’005 to the EPFL projects submitted under the SNSF Project Funding Spring 2025 call for proposals and having EPFL researchers as corresponding applicant. 13 of the approved projects are in mathematics, engineering and the natural sciences (MINT), 4 in life sciences (LS), and 1 in social sciences and humanities (SSH) divisions.

The SNSF provides project funding to enable qualified researchers to conduct research projects on self-chosen topics and with self-chosen goals independently and under their own responsibility. Through project funding, it aims to award researchers a basic grant that is appropriate for the planned research. In particular, researchers can apply for coverage of research costs and staff salaries as well as for the funding of scientific cooperation, networking and communication.
