SFI Best Discussant Doctoral Award for Philippe van der Beck

Philippe van der Beck, a PhD Student at the Swiss Finance Institute @EPFL won the Best Discussant Doctoral Award 2020 at the SFI Research Days, which is awarded annually to PhD students for an outstanding discussion of a paper at the SFI Research Days.
In June of each year, the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) organizes its annual research conference, the SFI Research Days. The event brings together academics and doctoral students from across Switzerland, who meet to present and discuss their ongoing research.
In parallel sessions, doctoral students present their work in progress and gain valuable feedback from both fellow students and academics. Students are not only encouraged to present their work, but also to act as discussants for other papers. Prizes are awarded for both the Best Paper and the Best Discussant, which our PhD Student, Philippe van der Beck had the honnor of receiving this year.
